Professional Dictation Associates is an independently owned and operated medical transcription company located in Mentor, Ohio. Founded by Judy Rini and Cindy Drake in 2001, Professional Dictation Associates has grown in the past 10 years from two transcriptionists to many transcriptionists across the United States.
Judy started her career as a file clerk for a large multispecialty clinic, moving quickly into the position of medical transcriptionist. After relocating to Georgia in 1985, she continued her career as an MT for a cardiology practice. Upon moving back to Ohio, she continued to receive tapes and type from home for the same cardiology practice.
Cindy started her career as a file clerk at a local hospital, trained as a medical transcriptionist, working her way up to Director of Medical Records. Medical transcription has always been her passion. After leaving the hospital setting in 1994, she began working as an MT from home for a major transcription company and working with Judy for the cardiology practice.
In 2001, the cardiology practice made the decision to move from tapes to a web-based software platform. With the help of the software company, we made the decision to start our own medical transcription company. Starting out with one client with six dictators, Professional Dictation Associates has grown to multiple clients with hundreds of dictators for medical, legal, business, general, academic transcription.
The Professional Dictation Associates difference is that we are actual transcriptionists, not just managers overseeing the work of the transcriptionists.
